PICATINNY ARSENAL, N.J. - During a ceremony here Dec. 12, Picatinny Chaplain Maj. Kevin Doll presents a holiday wreath dedicated to all prisoners of war and missing in action.

The ceremony was organized by the Picatinny Arsenal Squadron Civil Air Patrol, which was one of more than 150 civic organizations that helped lay wreaths on military graves and memorials across the country as part of the Wreaths Across America project.

During the ceremony here, eight wreaths were placed to honor the military who served or currently serve in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines, as well as those service members who are POW or MIA and service members who lost their lives in 2009.

After the ceremony, the Picatinny CAP hung wreaths on each of the 129 trees in Picatinny's tree memorial here, which is dedicated to all 129 New Jersey-connected service members who lost their lives in 2001 - 2008.
