Aim high, aim higher
Dana Born, lecturer in public policy, Harvard University, speaks to employees about the importance of leadership and character development in the workplace Feb. 24 during the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center's (ARDEC) leadership speaker series. The series is a part of ARDEC's leadership development program.
Event highlights entry-level, 3-D scanning
Army Researchers are taking advantage of professional development sessions to advance knowledge. These sessions, known as "Lunch and Learn" events, focus on introducing the ARDEC workforce to Picatinny's innovative facilities and capabilities as well as showcase the arsenal's 3-D printing and scanning abilities.

 Picatinny Arsenal observes Black History Month
Brig. Gen. Jason T. Evans, deputy commanding general for support at the U.S. Army Installation Management Command, was the guest speaker during Picatinny Arsenal's Black History Month observance Feb. 23 at the arsenal's Cannon Gate Catering and Conference Center.
Garrison commander speaks to local Chamber
Picatinny Garrison Commander Lt. Col. Ingrid A. Parker served as guest speaker Feb. 5 during a luncheon with the Women in Business Committee from the Morris County Chamber of Commerce.
'Civilians Down Range' group to improve deployments for civilians
More than 70 civilians have deployed in support of Soldiers since 2007 from Picatinny Arsenal's Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center, or ARDEC. This led Caska and a group of supporters to launch the Civilian Down Range initiative or CDR--a network of peers comprised of civilians who have deployed, are deployed and those who may deploy in the future.

Father, daughter ball features 'Frozen' theme
The third annual Father and Daughter Ball was held Feb. 6 at the Cannon Gate Catering and Conference Center. Each year a new theme is selected to enhance the experience for the fathers and daughters who attended. This year's theme was Frozen, due to the Disney film's popularity with the core age group of attendees, 3-14 years old.
Military deputy retires from Picatinny Arsenal
Lt. Col. Joseph Fagan, military deputy for the Munitions Engineering and Technology Center, said goodbye to Picatinny Feb. 12 during his retirement ceremony at the arsenal's Lindner Conference Center.
