 Program Executive Officer Soldier visits Picatinny
On Jan. 29, Brig. Gen. Brian P. Cummings, Program Executive Officer Soldier, made his monthly visit to Picatinny and met with David Castellano, acting director of the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center. He also toured ARDEC's Fire Control Systems and Technology Directorate along with the Armament Software Engineering Center.
Picatinny engineers use advanced sensor technologies
By integrating many small sensors into light mortar systems, Picatinny engineers are developing a technology for use on all U.S. military mortar systems to give Soldiers faster, more accurate mortar fire.
New acting director at ARDEC poised to assume role
John Hedderich, acting director of the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), held his final town hall Jan. 21, where he thanked the Picatinny workforce for its hard work and introduced Dave Castellano, the new ARDEC acting director starting Jan. 26.

Picatinny town hall highlights installation changes
Facility moves, changes in communication and winter weather safety were key topics Jan. 15 during Picatinny's installation town hall. The town hall was led by Brig. Gen. Patrick W. Burden, Senior Commander of Picatinny Arsenal and Deputy Program Executive Officer for Ammunition.
Picatinny Repertory Company members plan upcoming reunion
The Picatinny Repertory Company has been inactive since 2010, but former members are planning an upcoming 20th anniversary reunion in the show business tradition that "The show must go on."
