Navy hosts Holiday Ball at Picatinny
In the many years that Picatinny Arsenal has held its annual Holiday Ball, various Army organizations have hosted this affair. However, this year the Dec. 6 gathering was hosted by the Navy Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division, which has personnel assigned to the arsenal.
Airburst round to begin evaluation this summer
The Small Arms Grenade Munition round -- a 40mm counter-defilade, air-bursting grenade designed for both the M203 and M320 launchers -- will undergo evaluation in July 2015.
'Our Heroes Christmas' concert presented at Picatinny Old Forge Chapel
The pews in the Old Forge Chapel were filled with warfighters, civilians, and contractors Dec. 4 to celebrate the Christmas season. The concert was a gift from Picatinny employee Angela Koutselas as a way to say "Merry Christmas" and "Thank you for your service" to our warfighters, civilian co-workers and contractors.

Army Family Action Plan gathering held at Picatinny
Picatinny Arsenal's Army Community Service recently conducted its annual Army Family Action Plan or AFAP on Nov. 19. AFAP convenes every year engaging Soldiers, family members, military survivors, military retirees and Army civilians across all Army components to identify, prioritize and elevate quality of life issues to Army and other branches of senior leaders for action and resolution.

New York Giant Steve Weatherford Visits Children at Picatinny Arsenal
Capt. Justin Metz and his two children, Gianna, 7, and LJ, 5, get their picture taken with Steve Weatherford, punter for the New York Giants during a recent visit to Picatinny Arsenal. LJ is holding Weatherford's Super Bowl championship ring. Weatherford posted the same photo to his Facebook fan page stating, "What an honor this was to meet this brave man and his beautiful family.
